Pip value calculator.

See what one pip is worth on any major or minor pair, gold or an index, for your lot size and in your account currency.

Approximate: currency conversion uses static rates (Oct 2026), not a live feed, so results can be a little out. Index contract sizes vary (often 1, 10 or 20 per point per lot), so set yours. Always check with your broker before you trade.

How it works

How pip value is worked out

Pip value = lot size × contract size × pip size, in the quote currency (the second one in the pair), then converted to your account currency.

Pair (1.00 lot) Pip size Pip value
EUR/USD, GBP/USD 0.0001 $10
EUR/GBP 0.0001 £10
USD/JPY, GBP/JPY 0.01 ¥1,000 (about $6.67)
XAU/USD (gold) 0.10 $10

For 0.10 lots divide by 10; for 0.01 lots divide by 100. If your account is in pounds, a $10 pip is about £7.46 at GBP/USD 1.34.
